Held in Vadodara since 1994

Every piece knows which heat it came from

Alloy and plate held on the floor, cut to the quantity you actually need, with the heat number recorded against the cut and the certificate retained for ten years.

What is on the floor

Four families, held rather than indented. Anything outside them we will name a stockholder for on the first call rather than take a month bringing it in — which is the answer that most often loses us an enquiry and is still the right one.

01Stainless plate and sheet

Held in thicknesses from 3 to 40 mm. The commonest enquiry and the one where a same-day cut is usually possible.

02Duplex and super duplex

Small quantities, held deliberately at a cost we carry. A fabricator needing 40 kg should not have to buy a 3-tonne plate to get it.

03Nickel alloy

Sheet and bar in the four grades our sectors actually ask for. We do not list a fifth we would have to bring in.

04Offcut stock

Priced by the piece with the heat number attached, listed rather than hidden. An offcut with paperwork is stock; one without is scrap, and we sell it as scrap.

What travels with a cut piece

A piece leaves here with the heat number stamped on it and the mill certificate attached to the despatch note. Ten years later a query resolves against paper rather than against anybody’s recollection of which plate it came off — which is the whole reason a stockholder is worth using rather than buying direct.

Grade, thickness and quantity is enough for a price. A drawing helps and is not required — and if we do not hold it we will say so the same day rather than quote a date we would then move.
